Cold Plunge Chiller Electricity Cost: Monthly Calculator and Buying Guide
Estimate monthly electricity cost from power draw, duty cycle and electricity rate.
The useful equation is simple: kW × operating hours × electricity rate. The hard variable is duty cycle. A chiller may be plugged in 24 hours per day but its compressor does not necessarily run continuously.
What increases monthly cost

- Frequent refills with warm water
- Restricted condenser airflow

Electrical requirements matter separately
Plunge specifies a dedicated 15A circuit for its Pro Chiller Gen 2. Circuit requirements are a safety and installation constraint; they are not the same thing as average monthly energy consumption.
